My Mississippi Map turtle hasnt basked in a while PPPLLLEEEAEE HELLLPPP!!!?

i've had my mississippi map for about 3 months and finnally last night i got him some rosie red minnows he usually basks constantly but he hasnt basked since those minnows have been in the tank i cave him 3 and he ate all except 1 and he hasnt basked at all todayand he doesnt go up to breathe as often ive tried catching the fish but hes incredibly fast and suprisingly smart.
