Why are most Archeologist never from the country the research is being done in?

Seldom if ever,do I see natives of a country or continent surveying their own areas.It`s always someone from another country.Most Egyptologist seem to be British.Why aren`t there more Egyptian Archeologist searching their own ancestral grounds?Native American ruins are the same.When did you last see a group of Choctaw Archeologist surveying their own ancestral burial grounds? Why do you think this is?
