Does anyone else write things like movie scripts or ideas or there own music for no real reason?

like i like to write things like storys, poems, songs, ideas of like what i want to do, all kinds of things i like to make is this normal or is there alot of people that do that is that a good hobby? i just dont want it to overtake my real life but i do like to dream as well
