Well the more leg and ab muscles you have, the better balance you'll get when you snowboard and you'll be able to control your board better. Also you want to be somewhat flexible so that you won't hurt yourself when you fall. So what I do in the summer is work out and stretch my muscles. Gymnastics can also help your snowboarding and so can watching snowboard tutorials on youtube. If you have the money, you can go to snowboard camps like Windells, High Cascade, Camp of Champions, or Woodward.
